I met Dallas & Jimmy for the first time back in May. They were referred to us by one of our favorite wedding planners, Staci Porter of It’s All In The Details. Staci had mentioned that Jimmy was a bit of a jokester and boy was she right! Jimmy has a way of being sarcastic, but delivers it in a really funny way. It’s no wonder that Dallas is in love with him as he definitely has the ability to keep her smiling and laughing. We started off the engagement session taking a few photos at The Friendship Fountain in downtown Jacksonville. It’s located across from The Jacksonville Landing right at the foot of the Main Street Bridge… ( Thats the big blue on that everyone is familiar with. ) As a wedding / engagement photographer it is sometimes a challenge to create a comfortable environment for your clients, often taking 15 minutes to “break the ice”. Not the case with Dallas and Jim, they were so easy to work with and really made our jobs a pleasure. We have really been blessed lately in this regard and have been fortunate enough to often become friends with our clients long after the E-Session or Wedding day is complete. After a few fun photos at the fountain we headed over to Treaty Oak Park. ( For those of you who have not been there before it is a huge oak tree over 200 years old with a trunk that measures 25 feet around, right in the heart of downtown Jacksonville. ). Again, we had a few laughs and were able to make a few great images. Within 20min we found ourselves headed to the boardwalk outside of Ruth’s Chris. This was going to be our last and final location and as they say, keep the best for last! This location not only offered a beautiful view of the downtown Jacksonville skyline, but it was the very location that Jimmy had proposed to Dallas one year earlier. They shared the perfect ending to a perfect day and we look forward to capturing all of their best wedding moments this coming November.
